Currently we are in our last week of finals for the first year of our MBA program. Assuming that I survive my killer finance final this upcoming Thursday afternoon, I will have completed exactly half of my program here at Pepperdine. It is strange to think that it is already halfway over. Today I sat down and reflected over my past year. During this time, I came to several conclusions. Here they are: During the last year...
I have never worked harder in my life
I had more sleepless nights and stress-filled days than ever before
I met the smartest people I have ever known
I have grown the most as a person compared to any other year
I have learned more applicable knowledge than at any other time in my life
I have met several amazing friends

My favorite activity, was our Intramural Flag Football League!
What began as a group of guys who got together once in awhile to throw the ball around, eventually turned into an extremely organized team of 14 MBA students competing for the league championship.
We practiced at least once a week throughout the fall, and had games most Saturday mornings. JC Garrett acted as our head coach, while Lee Rankinen ran the offense from the quarterback position and I ran the defense from the middle linebacker spot. We went undefeated throughout the season and playoffs, eventually winning the championship against the Pepperdine Law School Team led by former University of Texas cornerback, Jerren Wright. We won the championship game 6 - 0. My defense only gave up 12 points all season, including the playoffs.
The best part of the overall experience was forming the bonds with guys on the team. We had an incredible amount of fun and played to win. It was amazing how quickly we went from being individuals to becoming a team. We played with students from all over the world, some of whom had never played football before. It was a great experience for all of us involved.
