Wow... what a week it was. Last week was our last week of the session and it marked the completion of our first semester in the program. It is weird to think that I am now 25% done with my MBA program. It seems like just yesterday that I was moving down to Malibu. Now that I have reached the first “milestone” of the program, my next major task is to find an internship.
My internship search will consist of applying to companies in two broad industries; management consulting and the defense aerospace industry. I’m in the process of working with the career services office to make contacts within these industries and leverage these contacts to get internship offers. If possible, I would like a paid internship position, but if push comes to shove, I would take an unpaid internship with a company that I’m interested in.
My winter break will consist of spending some much needed time in the gym, hanging out with friends and family, and getting away from the MBA program grid. I’m hoping that this month off will allow me to recharge my batteries and prepare for the upcoming spring session. I am happy that we have such a long break to enjoy our families. We have an entire month to be able to sleep in and not think about papers, readings and exams. While I’m not sure if I am supposed to write over the winter break, I’ll try to keep you all updated throughout the break as often as I can.
